Sedgman South Africa donated Desktop Computers, Laptops, Video Conferencing Equipment, Voice of IP equipment, networking equipment and other technologies to TechnoAfrika Academy.
The technology was donated for the following purpose;
- To provide teaching and learning for TechnoAfrika’s Science & Technology Club (Junior TechnoCrats Club),
- For their Mobile Science and Technology program.
- Computer Skills development for the Community
- Enterprise development for small scale business people, NPOs and other community projects, empowering them on digital literacy.
- For Administration of their programs and content development
- For establishing a Studio for their online teaching
These computers were donated to promote STEM education in schools and disadvantaged communities, during the official Handover of the computers the TechnoAfrika Board Secretary said;

TechnoAfrika Academy’s sole purpose is to support schools and disadvantaged communities to improve the quality of education and livelihood through technology and STEM support.
We aim to foster for a vibrant, inclusive, and empowered education system and society. We want to be a catalyst for change in education that will help Africa to fight poverty and building sustainable communities with thriving economies.
We Believe that; Africa needs educated, skilled and literate citizens that will help fight poverty and grow sustainable communities we also have a responsibility to develop a community of young people that believe there is a future for science in South Africa and on the continent‚” President Cyril Ramaphosa
Our aim is to change this landscape and support public schools in their journey to become excellent and provide high quality education. We have projects that are tailor made to provide practical exposure to Science and technology and STEM support. We want to help nurture our children in preparation for the 4th Industrial revolution.
The Computer lab will open a lot of opportunities for them, we want our TechnoCrats to continue dreaming, innovating, designing, and prototyping,”
